“Industrial Sustainable Excellent Award” is set up to encourage domestic manufacturing industry, technical service industry, and other professional organizations to think highly of industry safety and environmental protection, carry out excellent management, drive technical innovation, and enhance sustainable development of enterprises from diverse dimensions. ACC’s Hualien Plant was awarded the prize for its remarkable performance on following matters. That includes the devotion to waste reduction, pollution prevention, and energy conservation; the certification of ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems, and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series; the fulfillment of Voluntary Protection System. Also, besides pursuing innovation, efficiency, and outstanding management, Hualien Plant fulfills social responsibilities, creates local job opportunities, and strengthens relations with neighboring communities. The lots of efforts all qualified Hualien Plant for the prizewinner. On Nov. 17, 2005, the President of ACC, K.Y.Lee, and the Vice President of ACC, Y.F.Chang, represented ACC to receive the award.
