"Smoke-free Workplace Award" is set up by Health of Department to arouse people's attention about smoking problems occurred in workplace and also respond to "Smoke-free Workplace Activities"- working, but no smoking! To encourage companies which support the activities and have distinguished results, Minister of Bureau of Health Promotion in person awarded these companies prizes. ACC’s Hualien Plant is one of the prizewinners because it has effectively implemented smoke-free policies for years. The achievements includes separating smoke-free areas and ventalited smoking spaces, putting up no-smoking notices, holding smoking cessation activities, such as health education and smoking cessation propaganda. Also, ACC’s Hualien Plant makes procedures of workplace smoking prevention, reviews related execution results, and provides support and various services for smokers to quit smoking.
