Ministry of Economic Affairs held the contest of “National Standards Award” to encourage domestic professional organizations and enterprises to establish consistent standards for products, procedures, and services, and thus enhance the development of national standardization activities, that will increase Taiwan’s competitiveness in global market. Acc’s Hualien Plant stood out among 30 participators and was the only private organization within 5 prizewinners. On Oct. 20, 2005, Minister Mei-yueh Ho awarded prizes in person. The President of Acc, K.Y.Lee, was invited to represent all prizewinners and deliver a speech in the awarding ceremony.
